Dubai: Hot and hazy weather will continue to affect the UAE before temperatures significantly drop by Wednesday, say weather forecasters.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in Abu Dhabi explained that during the next two days, more clouds will form over the eastern mountains, becoming convective at times.

The temperature across the UAE will range from 20C-37C in coastal areas, 19-41C in internal areas and 18C-33C in the mountain region.

The top five lowest temperatures on Monday, according to the NCM, was Jebel Jais at 19.1C, Al FarFar at 19.9C, Jebel Mabrah at 22.3C, Ras Al Khaimah Airport at 23C and Jebel Al Heben at 23.3C.

With Northwesterly winds of 18-28km/h, which may reach up to 38km/h on Tuesday, residents can expect more sand and dust to continue to blow across the emirates.

However, relief is in store for the coming days ahead, as the NCM said that on Wednesday, “it will be hazy and partly cloudy with a significant fall of temperatures, especially over the western and coastal areas.”

On Thursday, the weather is expected to remain cooler with mist in the early morning. Cloud formation will also increase, especially over the coast and the islands, with Southeasterly winds turning into Northwesterly ones.
