Dubai: A new exhibition highlighting the great historical role of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in founding the UAE and serving humanity is now open at the Carpet and Art Oasis 2018.

The exhibition, launched by Dubai Customs in partnership with the Dubai Culture, coincides with the national Year of Zayed as declared by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It aims to explore the late Shaikh Zayed’s legacy in founding the UAE, developing it and supporting humanitarian causes and values.

The corner includes historical photos highlighting the values of tolerance, selflessness and peace. Another corner sheds light on the UAE history and the stages of its development from relative obscurity in global affairs to become one of the wealthiest and most dynamic countries of the world.

“The Year of Zayed is an occasion to remember the great deeds of the founding father in building and serving the nation,” said Musabih as he toured the exhibition. “The solid foundation that Shaikh Zayed built has helped us to go on an equal footing with the modern world”.

Also inaugurated was the Library of Zayed, which allows visitors to view Arabic and foreign books which talk about Shaikh Zayed’s personality.

As part of the exhibition, a fine art section was dedicated to feature a mural that portrays the founding father of the UAE, while another section called “Kids’ Corner” was set up to help the new generation learn about Shaikh Zayed’s great achievements.
