ABU DHABI: As the 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix gets underway today, there is plenty of entertainment for families across different ‘Oasis’ areas. Make sure you check them out:

F1 Fanzone: Visitors can get close to their favourite teams at the Public Pit Lane Walk and access to drivers with daily autograph sessions. Other highlights include the new F1 Driver Fan Forum, F1 GameZone, live music, dance performances, street theatre, Art@YAS, pampering pit stop, barber station as well as the all-new ‘Free Fall 46’ adrenaline experience.

West Oasis: This kicks off on November 24 with live performances from dance troupe MD Productions, popping dancer Marquese ‘Non Stop’ Scott, six-piece band Girl Talk and street theatre performers Street Scenarios. Race goers can also chill out in the Palm Garden or the Hammock Houses.

South Oasis: The colourful seating is welcoming and you get a chance to play interactive games and enjoy tunes from some of the region’s best DJs playing everything from 80s Rock to Motown to British Indie classics.

North Oasis: This is the place to find all things Abu Dhabi – past, present and future – in the Heritage Village, where visitors can discover the local culture, as well as food, entertainment and art.

Yas KartZone: Open throughout the race weekend, this is exclusively for F1 ticket holders.

For the first time, ticket holders can also experience YAS Hot Laps of the track in a Jaguar F-TYPE (Dh200) or Radical SST (Dh250). Those that purchase a Golden Circle Upgrade for the Yasalam after-race concerts on that day will be eligible for a complimentary track experience. For the first time, a pop-up art show by Dubai’s Opera Gallery will showcase 10 signature works of two artists Pokras Lampas and Richie Mirando.
