Quetta: At least 11 people were wounded when a bomb planted on a bicycle went off in a southwest Pakistani town.

Five paramilitary soldiers were wounded in the attack, which took place as a truck carrying the troops made its way through a marker area of Mastung, a town 50 kilometres from Quetta.

"The device was planted on a bicycle and probably soldiers were the target," a top police officer in the town, Malik Arshad said.

Five of the wounded were in a critical condition, he added.

No group has claimed responsibility.
