Lights, drama, action!
An absolute treat for cinema lovers, the world's largest outdoor theatre returns for a second run in Dubai this month.

Run by Swiss-based global entertainment giants, the Swiss OpenAir Cinema is a unique concept that will feature a new line-up of Hollywood and Bollywood blockbusters offering fans 12 nights of a much more than average movie experience.
With an ability to connect to a wide-ranging audience, the open air viewing will feature a 4,000 square foot screen, rising six storeys high and showcasing the best in cutting-edge technology. The impressive visual experience will be complemented by a 32-speaker digital surround sound system for clear, crisp sound.
"We're going out of our way to make sure this year in Dubai is going to blow all preconceptions away; we're making this one really special," says Farzin Samadian, CEO of Swiss OpenAir Concept.
Keeping in mind the overwhelming response of last year, the organisers have moved the venue of the Swiss OpenAir Cinema to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, a much larger venue with a capacity to accommodate over 2,000 viewers each night. With a musical prelude and an outstanding laser show lined-up prior to the opening of the screen; audiences could be in for lots of surprises at every show, including films that will be world or regional premieres, mostly Hollywood flicks.
Vampire fans and Robert Pattinson stalkers in Dubai can look forward to the premiere of the much-awaited Twilight sequel, New Moon. The film will air for the first time on opening night of Swiss OpenAir.
And there's more: including two nights for Bollywood, two family nights and a special charity event that'll leave audiences spellbound. What's more, you can indulge in high-quality cuisine at the food festival that'll share space at the venue. There will also be a DJ spinning the best tunes at an after-party that promises to add to the festive atmosphere. The Swiss OpenAir Cinema is supported by Dubai International Film Festival, and Dubai Media City is the official location sponsor for the event. Doors open at 7pm for dinner and beverages, and will run into the night with entertainment following each premiere.
