Visit visa
I'm a married woman working in Sharjah for almost two years. My husband was terminated from his job four months ago from the same company where I'm working right now.
Anne from Dubai asks: I'm a married woman working in Sharjah for almost two years. My husband was terminated from his job four months ago from the same company where I'm working right now. I would like to ask your assistance to answer my queries regarding the new rules for visit visa prior to the laws implemented after the amnesty finished. My husband got a six-month ban according to the Labour Law. Though there are two months to go before the ban is completed, he is planning to come back here on a visit visa and wait to finish his ban. Is it possible for him to come back here and how long can he stay in the country on a visit visa? How many exits are allowed now for the visit visa? And, if he gets a job here what are the procedures that must be followed?
The reader's husband may come back and stay in Dubai holding visit visa issued by the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD), which will be valid to two months and can be renewed a month.
Her husband can leave the country and come back with another visit visa for the same duration. He is entitled to get such a visa thrice in a row with the same procedures. But, if he tries to enter for the fourth time, then he needs a special permission from DNRD.
