Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, met His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at Al Bahr Palace on Monday.

They discussed a number of national issues that help achieve sustainable development, reinforce the UAE’s stature globally, and raise its reputation under the wise leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed then received a delegation from the UAE Space Agency accompanied by representatives of the space sector in the country.
The delegation gave an overview of the most important achievements made by the UAE in space science and the latest developments regarding the Hope Probe project and other ambitious national projects.
It also presented its vision to develop the space sector in the UAE under a strategic plan to develop strong and sustainable foundations for science and knowledge in the space science sector. The delegation members highlighted the importance of entrenching scientific knowledge in society that will inspire national cadres to make innovations and discoveries in space that would serve the growing progress and development the UAE in all sectors.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed expressed his pleasure at meting an elite group of young ambitious and qualified national cadres who form a generation of scientists who will lead the national space sector.
He said the UAE under the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa is keen to prepare highly qualified national human resources that are able to meet the requirements of the future in various sectors and fields.
Shaikh Mohammad underlined that the UAE gives great attention to investment in human capital as the real wealth of the nation and the main pillar to protect its gains and accomplishments and build its future.
He pointed out that the UAE puts its full trust in creative and outstanding young cadres capable of bringing out the required change and fulfilling national ambitions.
“The UAE is looking to shorten the time by strengthening sustainable development in scientific and technological, space and research domains. The next phase requires more effort and dedication to drive development forward, fulfil the nation’s aspirations and enhance its ability to reach higher levels of progress and prosperity.”
