The two discuss the experience of transfer of labour services from the Ministry to private sector through Tasheel Service Centres
Dubai: UAE Labour Minister Saqr Gobash said the experience of transfer of labour services from the ministry to the private sector through Tasheel service centres, is successful in terms of qualitative services to customers in line with the Emirates Distinguished Government Service Programme.
He added that the transfer of services was introduced on directives by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Gobash said the Wages Protection System (WPS) is one of the ministry’s tools for control of the labour market and protection of workers’ rights to help them get their monthly salaries on time.
The remarks were made while receiving Thikra Ayed Al Rashidi, Kuwaiti Minister for Social Affairs and Labour, at the ministry in Dubai at the weekend. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the labour market and workforce experiences.
Gobash briefed Al Rashidi about the Tasheel service centres and WPS, and their role in provision of distinguished services to customers. Al Rashidi commended the WPS and its positive impact on the labour market.
