Dubai: UAE leaders paid tribute to mothers across the world on the occasion of Mother’s Day which is marked in the country on March 21.

As captured in a new heartwarming video posted by High Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, one woman in particular shines brighter for her selfless contributions in the community.

The short video posted on Shaikh Mohammad’s official page shows him visiting the Emirati widow Fatima Ibrahim Bin Sulaiman thanking her for the good works she has done.

The widow, who was surprised by the visit, tells Shaikh Mohammad that it’s a big honor for her to be visited by him, while he replies back telling her it was his honor meeting her.

In the tweet, Shaikh Mohammad wrote: “On the occasion of Mother’s day, I was happy to visit Fatima Ibrahim Bin Sulaiman the widow of Obaid Al Helo. I heard about her all the good things. An Emirati mother who did not only dedicate herself for her family but also for the community through constant and unlimited works of giving . Thanks to all the mothers and Happy mother’s day to all of the mothers in the UAE and in the world.”

The video ends with a message to all mothers by Shaikh Mohammad, where he says: “Words are not enough to describe the purity of your hearts, the greatness of your sacrifices and the amount of love you placed in this world. Happy Mother’s day.”

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces also tweeted on the occasion.

“For us, every day is a day to celebrate mothers for they are an eternal source of giving. We are proud of their role in the family, community and nation, and we pray for their happiness,” he wrote.

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family including motherhood and the influence of mothers in society. The annual event is held on different dates depending on the country.
