Ramallah: The UAE’s Human Appeal International (HAI) is still distributing Eid clothes to 1,500 Palestinian children.

Ebrahim Rashid, director of the HAI office in the West Bank, said that the authority had started distributing hundreds of coupons for Palestinian children, especially those with special needs and who are orphans, all over Palestinian provinces.

Rashid reported that the mechanism established by the authority had made buying clothes easier as the coupons were distributed after agreements were made with specialist Palestinian clothing companies. This meant families had a choice of clothes for their children.

Wafa Al Taweel, Head of the Women’s Association Old City, said that the authority had carried out the second Eid clothing project in occupied Jerusalem and it was great to see how happy the children were as a result of the Emirati initiative.
