Abu Dhabi: The UAE is in favour of cooperative efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the world oil market, Mohammad Bin Dha’en Al Hamili, UAE Minister of Energy, affirmed on Wednesday.
During talks with the visiting Finnish Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen, Al Hamili said that the UAE was also seeking to bolster cooperation between oil producers and consumers to stimulate global economic growth.
He said UAE and Finland maintain strong relations based on friendship and mutual interests in economic and trade sectors, and they were committed to optimum use of energy sources.
Al Hamili and Katainen explored mechanisms for boosting bilateral cooperation in energy and associated industries.
The Finnish prime minster termed his trip to the UAE as “important” to his country as it would advance bilateral economic and trade relations. During the meeting, he spoke about the future expansion plans in Finland’s energy sector and the investment opportunities it offers. He also touched on the developments in the Finnish renewable energy industry. He praised the UAE’s achievements in oil, gas and renewable energy and its tireless quest towards sustainable development.
