Abu Dhabi: The value of aid presented by Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to Yemen from April 2015 to March 2017 is valued at Dh7.3 billion.

The UAE’s aid targeted around 10 million Yemenis, four million of whom are children, in addition to providing vaccines against polio and measles to 488,000 children. Humanitarian aid also consisted of food aid, as more than 172,000 tonnes of food aid was sent to Yemen, which amounts to an average of 235.8 tonnes of food per day. The UAE also dispatched 111 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies, equipment, and ambulances.
