Fujairah: Fujairah Police arrested two Pakistani men for stealing batteries from trucks parked in various areas in Fujairah as well as in other emirates.

The suspects, identified as D.M.Sh. and A.N.A., were arrested on charges of theft and causing damage to others’ properties.

The men’s alleged activities came to light when a number of people lodged a police complaint that their trucks’ batteries had been stolen.

Based on the complaints, the Criminal Investigation Department tracked down the suspects and arrested them.

The suspects confessed to stealing batteries from five trucks in Fujairah and other trucks in other emirates.

The suspects sold the stolen batteries as scrap.

The case has been referred to the public prosecution for further action.

Colonel Hamid Mohammad Hamid, Director-General of police operations at Fujairah Police, praised the efforts of the police team chaired by Major Saeed Obaid Al Kindi, Director of the Fujairah Criminal and Investigation Department, in tracking the suspects and arresting them in a short time.
