Sharjah: Police are investigating the deaths of two men in separate incidents in Sharjah.

A 45-year-old Egyptian man fell to his death from the fifteenth floor of a building in Al Naba’a area of Sharjah, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

The man did not survive the fall and is believed to have died upon impact, polcie said.

Al Hira police station officials said they were notified that a man was lying in a pool of blood near a building.

A police patrol and paramedics were moved immediately to the scene of the incident at about 10am on Saturday and told a man had fallen from the building, his family’s home.

“Our ambulances and rescue team rushed to the scene only to find the man dead,” said a police officer.

The victim, identified as M.A.M., was taken to Al Kuwaiti Hospital at around 11am. The body was transferred to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

It is believed that the man commited suicide, said police.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man hanged himself to death on Saturday morning in his house in Al Naba’a area of Sharjah.

The man, an Indian and identified as R.M., was found hanging from a ceiling fan at around 10am, according to police.

His body was moved to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

Al Hira Police have launched investigations into both incidents.
