SHERATON DUBAI CREEK HOTEL & TOWERS TO CLOSE FOR RENOVATION

Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers will undergo a full refurbishment as of July 8 and will be non-operational for 8-10 months. The renovation will include a complete redesign of the public spaces and all 262 rooms and suites. All rooms will be furnished with the soft tones of the desert landscapes and the bathrooms will be adorned with wood and marble, and a walk-in shower area with a bench. Each room will have a 42-inch LCD television, DVD player, iPod docking station and WiFi internet. The hotel will introduce The Link cafe at Sheraton, which offers guests complimentary internet and grab a snack in a relaxing environment. Vivaldi restaurant and bar will also be undergoing a full refurbishment, while the Hatta room overlooking the pool and Creek will be turned into an breakfast venue with its light and airy space.

ETIHAD GOES ABU DHABI-AMSTERDAM DAILY

The inaugural flight of Etihad Airways now flies to Amsterdam. The new daily service between Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam complements KLM’s flights on that route, which carries Etihad Airways’ EY code. WY 077 flies from Abu Dhabi at 9.30am to arrive in Amsterdam at 2.40pm and EY 078 flies from Amsterdam at 10pm. For more information log on to Etihad.com
