Dubai: Commuters faced heavy delays on Sunday due to multiple accidents on a number of busy routes in Dubai, especially affecting Al Khail Road.
Umm Sequim Road was affected after an accident was reported in the direction heading towards Shaikh Zayed Road.

The busy Dubai-Al Ain Road also faced traffic delays after an accident was reported near the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed (MBZ) Road intersection towards Dubai.

Motorists in Dubai also faced tailbacks on Al Rebat Street near Mirdif due to an accident, while drivers in Sharjah faced a number of accidents on Maleha Road and Emirates Road, Abu Dhabi-bound.

Traffic on Al Khail Road was brought to a halt after numerous accidents were reported on Hessa Street towards Shaikh Zayed Road, and after the Dubai Mall exit, affecting traffic towards Jumeirah and Abu Dhabi.

In Abu Dhabi, an accident was reported on Airport Road before the Khalifa City Bridge, which resulted in the closure of the left lane.

Another accident also happened on Corniche Street after Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Street towards Mina Road, which blocked off two lanes on the road.
