Luke Evans bares it all

Welsh actor Luke Evans has played a Greek god twice. And no one has ever complained once. The 37-year-old is the latest star to feature in Mr Porter’s The Journal, where he models some of the shopping website’s latest looks and discusses his rising star in Hollywood, from his role in The Fast and the Furious films to The Girl on the Train, now showing in the UAE.

He also discusses why he’s so protective of his personal life.

“If somebody talks to me about my personal life, well, the clue is in the title: it’s personal, it’s private,” he says. “I’m protecting myself, not because it’s anything that I’m embarrassed about, but because it’s mine.”

The multitalented actor, who is also an accomplished dancer, will soon show off his singing chops when Disney’s live action version of Beauty and the Beast releases. He plays the baddie Gaston.

Oris goes deeper

Swiss luxury watch maker Oris won lots of praise when it released its water-resistant mechanical watch Aquis Depth Gauge in 2013. It’s added a second version of the diver’s watch, with a yellow rubber strap that features two additional features: a safety anchor that prevents the strap from breaking loose, even after a heavy impact; and the sliding sledge clasp, which enables the wearer to adjust the size of the strap without undoing the clasp.
