Watch Rhoda Montemayor making her way as a Filipino Brit in Power rangers: operation Overdrive

Our friends from Good News Pilipinas told us that another Filipina is doing the country proud in the foreign entertainment scene. London-based Rhoda Montemayor is playing the role of adorable Rose Ortiz, the overdrive Pink Ranger in the ongoing Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive series.

The series is currently being aired on television worldwide, including Toon Disney's Jetix TV and ABC kids cable network in the US and on ITV1 in the UK. Rhoda is a multi-talented actress, whose versatility as a performer has landed her roles on both stage and screen, from musical theatre — A Chorus Line and West Side Story — to feature films such as Finding Neverland.

Rhoda currently resides in London, where she was also born and raised. Her ethnic origin is Filipino, though her enigmatic looks have led her to play a wide variety of roles from
Latino and Native American to Asian.

Secret affair?

Katrina Halili has denied the rumours of her affair with Magdusa Ka co-star D. Hayden Kho saying, “Nothing of the sort."

Speaking to our showbiz insider, Halili also slammed stories about the good-looking actor frequenting her condo unit.
The intrigues are probably brought on by Halili's unexpected success as a lead actress in a TV series, a first for the fast-rising young superstar who is more known for her
villainous roles.

Hayden has also come out with a statement saying he and Halili are just good friends, and that his relationship with current beau Vicky Belo, cosmetic surgeon to the stars,
is going as strong as ever.

Cuneta's grand slam season

People who have seen the sneak preview of the movie Caregiver believe megastar Sharon Cuneta is up for another grand slam season. The actress last scored a slam,
winning all the Best Actress awards in one year, with Madrasta. Cuneta said: “The film has been a life-changing experience for me. It has deepened my respect for Filipino
workers abroad, and I hope this movie will show how truly heroic their stories and experiences have been, not only for their respective families but also for the Filipino nation."
