The Little Wings Foundation will host a fundraising gala dinner on Thursday at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel. The funds will be used to treat children with musculoskeletal deformities.
"There are many children with problems such as club foot, crooked legs, short legs, hip dislocations, spinal deformities or deformities that are congenital or caused by accidents, " says Dr Marc Sinclair, head of Little Wings.
"These can be corrected by surgery, but many children whose families cannot afford the treatment are forced to spend their lives unable to walk or run."
"The name of our foundation comes from a song by Jimi Hendrix and it represents our desire to give these children a chance to have the mobility and grace of a butterfly," he adds.
