Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Tuesday received Prince Charles at Al Badea Palace.
They exchanged talks about the deep- rooted relations binding the two countries and touched on historical memories that emphasise strong bilateral ties.
Dr Shaikh Sultan took Prince Charles on a tour of Sharjah that included University City, ICCROM-ATHAR Regional Conservation Centre within the Sharjah Institute for Heritage.
He toured the institute where he visited the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council that falls under the Nama Women Advancement Establishment where he was briefed on the council’s remit and goals represented in supporting Emirati craftswomen and reviving traditional crafts.
Later, Dr Shaikh Sultan saw off Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, at Sharjah airport.
