Abu Dhabi: The time to submit Haj souvenirs for an upcoming exhibition has been extended till August 3, the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre announced on Saturday.
The Centre, which is organising the exhibition, will include Haj souvenir submissions from residents. These can be vital keepsakes collected by pilgrims during their Haj journeys, or items gifted to family and friends by pilgrims upon their return.
These objects often take pride of place in the recipients’ homes and are among the most precious objects that a Muslim owns. ‘The Haj: Memories of a Journey’ exhibition, which is set to open on September 20, will display these souvenirs.
