Dubai: Top seed Ivo Klec moved into the final of the Al Qasba 20th Marbella Resort Open Tennis Men's Super Singles following a three-set thriller against defending champion Alexey Kedriouk.

The Slovakian top seed defeated Kedriouk 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (4) to seal a place in the final against Rabie Chaki of Morocco. Klec won a close first set 7-5 with a break in the final game and then took a 4-3 lead in the second.

In the third set things were close with neither giving anything away with some fine long rallies. Kedriouk led 4-3 in the decisive tie-break, but Klec was far from finished as he took the next four points to wrap up victory.

The second semifinal looked a one-way affair with Tristian distracted with his surroundings at the specially set up tennis court at Qasba canal. His Moroccan opponent kept his focus and played his game to win rather easily 6-2, 6-2 to set a meeting against the top seed. Tristan had pulled off a shock win against second seed Sunil Sipaeya of India 6-4, 6-3 in the quarters, while Klec had got the better of India's Vishnu Virdhan in three sets 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.
