Three-time champion Al Gareeb lays down his goals
Three-time Gulf champion Mohammad Al Gareeb of Kuwait feels it would be justified if he receives a wild card entry at the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open.

Dubai: Three-time Gulf champion Mohammad Al Gareeb of Kuwait feels it would be justified if he receives a wild card entry at the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open.
Al Gareeb, a constant feature in the Kuwaiti national Davis Cup squad, has had a string of good results to back his cause of a wild card. "I've done well over the past one year and I feel I will justify the faith reposed by the organisers in me," Al Gareeb told Gulf News.
The Kuwaiti youngster played the match of his life on centre court last year when he matched and came close to dethroning reigning champion and World Number One Roger Federer.
"That match gave me so much of confidence and I was able to come up with some solid results during 2006," Al Gareeb reflected.
Last week, Al Gareeb was instrumental in Kuwait's 4-1 win against Iran in their Davis Cup encounter.
That earned his country a meeting against Indonesia in the next round in April .
"The exposure is good for all of us as we get to play quality players from the continent," Al Gareeb noted.
His best ranking on the ATP tour came down to a personal best of 336 in July last year. "I was on a roll after making two semifinals in Poland while also qualifying for the Swedish Open," Al Gareeb said.
"Mentally I am prepared for the challenges ahead. I have to be strong and ready and the results will automatically follow."
