Rafael Nadal will always be my favourite tennis player. It was really a wonderful experience for me to watch Rafa and Roger playing in the real court. Roger Federer's win against Pless last Monday night was really good. He will always be my second most preferred. But the game between Rafael Nadal against Baghdatis last night was a real tough game. Rafa lost in the first round but still managed to cope and prove to the world that he's the best. I think Rafa and Roger will meet again in the final round. But I'm still hoping that Rafa will be bringing home the trophy again.

I hope Rafael Nadal makes it two in a row in Dubai. He's the only contender for the number 1 spot in the male tennis this era. No surprise for Roger Federer to be at No.1 for such a long time. I must admit he's developed his game real well especially when Sampras is off the picture. But I can say that today's male tennis is not as explosive as the time of Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg etc where everyone is a contender. And Sampras prevailed without a shadow of a doubt.

I think Justine Henin will win the women's tennis tournament. I watched all her games and she's really good. I was sad that Jelena Jankovic got hurt. I wanted a Henin-Jankovic match for the finals.

I choose the safe but very probable winner, Roger Federer. The women's field remains quite open. With Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova out, Justine Henin, Amelie Mauresmo, Martina Hingis, and Jelena Jankovic are the real contenders. But I think whoever wins will be thankful Serena didn't show up.

If Roger Federer plays his game (which he does so consistently), any match is his to win. It is thrilling to see who may upset him in any given match. As for Jimmy Connors' record, it will stay there for a long time. The 108 wins, while being very good for Connors, is not something doable on the modern day ATP tour.

I think Roger Federer will win the Dubai tournament. He's the best thing that has happened to tennis in a long time. I hope he can complete the grand slam and win as many tournaments as possible. As for Maria Sharapova, whether she plays or not is not important to me since I don't like her as a tennis player. I do want to see the William sisters more. I wish Serena Williams would have been in the tournament.
