Prize Money and Trophies

  • The prize money for the 2007 Dubai Duty Free Men's Open is $1.5 million
  • The prize money for the 2007 Dubai Duty Free Women's Open is also $1.5 million

Venue
The Aviation Club has been the home of the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open since its inauguration in 1993. The 5,000 seat Dubai Tennis Stadium was officially inaugurated in February 1996.

  • 2007 is the 15th anniversary of the men's tournament.
    The reigning men's champion is world number 2 Rafael Nadal of Spain.

Women

  • The women's tournament is a Tier II Sony Ericsson WTA Tour tournament with a 28 player draw. It also features a 16 team doubles championship.
  • 2007 is the seventh year running of the tournament.
    The reigning women's champion is Justine Henin of Belgium.

Awards
The Dubai Tennis Championships has won a total of 12 ATP/WTA awards - the inaugural Dubai Duty Free Women's Open won the Tournament of the Year award from the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour while the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open won the equivalent award in 1998, 2003 and 2004.
