Dubai: British tennis star Andy Murray delighted hundreds of school children when he made a special visit to the Dubai British School (DESS) on Sunday, ahead of his first round match against world number one and reigning Dubai Champion Roger Federer.

The British number one happily answered questions for over 400 excited children when Dubai Duty Free, owners and organisers of the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, arranged a special visit for the tennis star to DESS.

After a brief introduction from the school's principal, children asked Murray questions about his life on and off court.

“I was never very good at school, so tennis was an easy choice,'' said the 20 year-old British number one.

“I come from a sporting family, my mum is the national tennis coach of Scotland and my brother Jamie is a very good tennis player as well,'' Murray added.

Club’s Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday. Al Kamali opened the account for the hosts with a penalty in the 21st minute, followed by another spot kick converted by Mohammad Al Shhehi in the 29th minute. Ismail Al Hammadi then completed the tally in the 80th minute of the match.
