Dubai: Through a whirlwind 140 off 70 balls, the Seven Seas Strikers beat the Yogi Group to lift the Al Taher Spices Cricket Cup at the Seven Seas ground.
Batting first the Seven Seas scored 239 for 7 in 25 overs. Javed Butt (140) and Asif (42) top scored for Seven Seas registering a 115 runs partnership for the first wicket.
Chasing the total, the Yogi Group were bowled out for 173 runs in 21.3 overs. Probodhan (52) and Azhar (37) began well putting on 81 runs for the first wicket. Fayaz with a spell of 5 for 21 and Mohsin taking 4 for 29 ended Yogi's challenge.
In the Sharjah Cricket Council-organised AJ Invitation tournament held at Al Dhaid Cricket Village, Waqas and Ebrahim hit centuries to guide Al Jabeen to a 196-run win over Baker Huges.
