Haya to give away trophies
Under the patronage and attendance of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the first Ladies Rugby championship will come to an end tomorrow, with Princess Haya handing out the trophies .
Dubai: Under the patronage and attendance of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the first Ladies Rugby championship will come to an end tomorrow, with Princess Haya handing out the trophies .
Sixteen women teams took part in this championship with 24 men's teams and the event took place at the new "Sevens" aviation stadium on the way between Dubai and Al Ain.
As a long-time athlete in equestrian sports, Princess Haya is the first Arab woman to compete in equestrian at Olympic, world and continental championship level.
In 2007, the International Olympic Committee elected Princes Haya as a member of the IOC.
Princess Haya was elected on May 1, 2006, as President of the International Equestrian Federation.
