UAE bodybuilders finish second at Asian tournament

UAE bodybuilders came second as they won seven medals, including five gold and one silver, at the 43rd Asian Men's Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships that concluded recently in Hong Kong.

Dubai: UAE bodybuilders came second as they won seven medals, including five gold and one silver, at the 43rd Asian Men's Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships that concluded recently in Hong Kong.

Ebrahim Abdul Malek, Secretary General of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, sent a cable of congratulations to Osama Al Shafar, president of the UAE Body Building Association and president of the UAE Body Building Association and president of the Asian Body Building Federation (ABBF), on the great achievement made by UAE bodybuilding heroes at the Asian competitions.

He praised the efforts of both the administrative and technical bodies as well as UAE bodybuilders who have proved that they are capable of contesting against the best in the continent.

"This is by far the best-ever performance from any team representing the UAE at an international competition," Mohammad said.
