UAE announces representatives for Beijing Olympics
Ali Obaid Sherook and Omar Jumaa Bilal will represent the UAE in the Beijing Olympic Games this summer.
Abu Dhabi: Ali Obaid Sherook and Omar Jumaa Bilal will represent the UAE in the Beijing Olympic Games this summer.
The UAE Olympic Committee has sanctioned the nomination of the two athletes after being nominated by the UAE Athletics Federation following their performance lately.
Sherook will take part in the 400 m and 400 m hurdles while Omar will participate in the 100 and 200m race.
Sherook won a silver medal in the Arab Athletics Championship and bronze in the Asian Indoor Athletics Championship while Omar registered new records for the country.
