Triple for Bolt as Jamaicans win relay in new world record
Usain Bolt celebrated his third gold medal and third world record of the Beijing Games when Jamaica won the men's 4x100 metres Olympic title on Friday in a new world mark of 37.10 seconds.

Beijing: Usain Bolt celebrated his third gold medal and third world record of the Beijing Games when Jamaica won the men's 4x100 metres Olympic title on Friday in a new world mark of 37.10 seconds.
Bolt teamed up with Asafa Powell, Nesta Carter and Michael Frater to give Jamaica's men and women's teams five of the six golds on offer in the 100metre, 200metre and 4x100metre relays.
"Three world records, three gold medals," said 22-year-old Bolt, whose gold medal haul is one short of what Carl Lewis achieved in Los Angeles in 1984.
"What I did out there I did for myself, my fans and my country. I was just trying to have fun out there and doing what I do. It's wonderful."
The Caribbean island, winning the title for the first time, took gold ahead of Trinidad and Tobago (38.06sec) while Japan won bronze (38.15sec).
Jamaica's new world record broke the 15-year-old mark of 37.40sec set by the United States in August 1993.
Bolt ran the bend superbly before passing the baton to Powell, who raced away to gain rich consolation for his disappointment at finishing fifth in the 100metre individual event.
