Paralympics set to be the biggest yet

This year's Summer Paralympics will see more nations than ever before take part.

Beijing: This year's Summer Paralympics will see more nations than ever before take part.

More than 4,200 athletes from 148 countries will take part in the thirteenth Paralympics, which will be 12 more nations than Athens. China is expected to field the most athletes.

Beijing will host the Games and they will run from today until September 17.

The slogan for the Paralympics will be One World, One Dream, which was also used for the Olympics.

The UAE team consists of eight competitors. Six will take part in track and field events.

They will be joined by a powerlifter and one sport shooter.
