Newitt becomes first blind person to complete Dubai Marathon
Katie Newitt has become the first blind person to complete the Dubai Marathon race; finishing in just under 5 hours.

Newitt suffers from retinitis pigmentosa and ran to raise money for foresight - a charity that raises money to support the blind and visually impaired.
Rebecca Janaway, Newitt's guide and a member of the Dubai Creek Striders Running Club, broke her personal record by 14 minutes.
