India Social and Cultural Centre to stage junior squash in Abu Dhabi
Club’s first-ever squash championship for children starting from May 3
Abu Dhabi: The India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC), Abu Dhabi, are organising the ISC-MICCO UAE Open Junior Squash Championship 2013 — their first-ever squash championship for children — from May 3 until May 11.
“Competitions for singles will be held in the categories of boys’ under-13s and under-16s and girls’ under-13s and Girls under-16. Entries close on April 28, 2013. All participants will be given participation certificates and winners will get attractive cash prizes, certificates and attractive trophies,” said ISC Honorary Sports Secretary Ziad Kamarudheen.
“This is ISC’s effort in promoting the game of squash in the country and encouraging children to focus on playing competitive sports. Our centre will witness this elite event in which more than 150 children from all over UAE will be taking part.”
ISC General Secretary Sathya Babu added: “We have MICCO Abu Dhabi as the title sponsor and Union National Bank as the main sponsor. The event is supported by M/s Key Information Technology and Inaya Facilities Management.”
