Abu Dhabi: The Al Ain Mineral Water team sent hosts Ghantoot packing from the His Highness The President's Cup Polo Championship with a 5-4 win in Sunday's match played at the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club.

Ghantoot, who had just one point before the tie against Al Ain Mineral Water Team, had to score a win against their winless opponents. But Al Ain Mineral Water prevailed to keep their chances alive in the four-team championship and oust Ghantoot from the tourney.

They now have two points from Sunday's win and take on Habtoor Team who have one point after their draw with Ghantoot earlier in the tournament. Their match today will virtually be a knock-out to decide who meets Team Emirates in Thursday's final.

Both teams played a defensive game and the UAE national players did well for Ghantoot while it was the Al Ain Mineral Water's professional Juan Ramos who emerged as the star of the match.

Juan scored three goals after Oscar Colombres opened their account with Matar Al Yabhoumi netting a fifth for the winners.

For Ghantoot, Khalifa Al Hammadi cancelled out Oscar's first chukka goal and also scored Ghantoot's second goal.

Nasser Al Shamsi added Ghantoot's third and David Bernal scored got their fourth.
