Four share lead in Arab chess event in Sharjah

Grandmaster (GM) Al Modiahki Mohammad of Qatar, GM Ameen Bassem, GM Al Gindy Essam and International Master (IM) Al Taher Fouad of Egypt shared the lead with 2.5 points after the third round of the Arab Chess Championship held at Al Bustan Hotel, Sharjah.

Sharjah: Grandmaster (GM) Al Modiahki Mohammad of Qatar, GM Ameen Bassem, GM Al Gindy Essam and International Master (IM) Al Taher Fouad of Egypt shared the lead with 2.5 points after the third round of the Arab Chess Championship held at Al Bustan Hotel, Sharjah.

IM Salem A. R. Saleh of the UAE, IM Khadar Sami of Jordan, FM Bakr Jwan of Syria and FM Chahrani Ebrahim of Lebanon trail the leaders by half a point.

Among the women, Women's International Master (WIM) Mouradian Knarik of Libya, WIM Mezioud Ameenah of Algeria, Women's Grand Master (WGM) Mona Khaled of Egypt, Mir Mahmoud Afamia of Syria and WIM Fouad Natalie of Jordan are at the top of the table with 2.5 points.

WIM Algildah Nibal of Syria, Nouman Amnah and Eisa Kulood of UAE, Women Fide Master (WFM) Latreche Sabrina of Algeria and WFM Basil Ziana of Iraq share the second spot with two points.
