Bani Yas club invests in young athletes

Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Interior Minister and Chairman of Bani Yas Sports and Cultural Club, on Wednesday received members and players of the club.

Shaikh Saif said the great support extended by the UAE leadership, mirrors its keen interest in encouraging young sports talents to be competitive at international level.

"The previous founding stage was dedicated to the preparing and training of young players to get them highly qualified for future assignments," he said.

Shaikh Saif noted that the club's short and long-term strategy focused on the requirements of Bani Yas region and the upgrade of the club's natural surroundings.

Priority

Upgrading the levels of the Bani Yas team will remain a top priority on the club's budget of Dh2.5 billion, said Shaikh Saif.

He stressed that the club is aspiring to achieve the best interaction between the players and their social surrounding with the aim of creating a special young generation to be the most valuable source of investment.
