Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is bracing for another edition of its popular annual Dubai Sports World series of events over the summer.
Some of the UAE’s most successful sporting academies and grassroots initiatives aim to make this year’s edition an ‘All Sports, All Summer’ training camp for children of all ages to hone their skills.
The region’s largest indoor summer sporting venue will run from June 11 to August 30 at DWTC and will be run in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council.
As usual, Dubai Sports World will feature an extensive, 11-week schedule of training camps and clinics operated by a host of leading local academies and grassroots schemes. Sports on offer will include football, cricket, tennis, badminton, table tennis and basketball.
“For our fourth Dubai Sports World, we are building on past successes and rolling out our biggest-ever schedule of specialist training camps run in collaboration with several leading sports academies,” Ahmad Al Khaja, Senior Vice President for Venues at DWTC, said.
“Part of Dubai Sports World’s modus operandi is to encourage people of all ages and abilities to stay active and healthy over the summer and, traditionally, these professionally-managed programmes have been some of the venue’s best-performing assets.
“The action-packed academies calendar we have developed with our partners fits the bill perfectly to fulfil our ‘All Sports, All Summer’ promise.”
With participating entities including Rage — Skate & BMX, DSBA Badminton Academy, G Force Cricket Academy, California Tennis Academy, IFA Academy, M&S Academy, Kanoute Football Academy — KAFO, Technogym Gym, Original Fitness Co. and Ping Pong Dubai, all academy classes will run from Sunday to Thursday in an air-conditioned environment throughout Dubai Sports World.
