Al Hamriya and Al Masakin to clash in final

With both semifinals going the full distance the fans were treated to some exciting action as first Al Hamriya got the better of local lads Nabras Al Ain 3-2 while in the second semifinal favourites Dubai Duty Free went down in a five setter to Sharjah's Al Masakin.
A large crowd at the ISC courts witnessed 75 minutes of intense action as Al Hamriya won the first two sets at 25-15 and 25-18. With the strong backing from the homes fans, Nabras came roaring back when they took the next two closely-contested sets at 23-26, 23-25. Al Hamriya however came on top in a testing duel in the final set to win 16-14.
The second semifinal was even more exciting and last for a full 90 minutes as the strong DDF team battled against eventual winners Al Masakin.
The Sharjah side rallied after DDF took the first set at 25-16. They levelled after winning the second at 25-20.
The next two sets were also shared with DDF winning the third at 25-20 while Al Masakin again charging back with a 25-22 win in the fourth set. Having come back twice, the Sharjah side then wrapped up the decider with a 15-11 margin and will tackle Al Hamriya in the final of this annual event held during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
With both semifinals going the full distance the fans were treated to some exciting action.
