Touring Car wins sponsor

Dubai Autodrome have announced that the UAE Touring Car Championship will be sponsored by Yellow Hat for the 2008/2009 season.

Dubai: Dubai Autodrome have announced that the UAE Touring Car Championship will be sponsored by Yellow Hat for the 2008/2009 season.

Talkabout Media are to produce highlights television packages of each National Race Day, this forthcoming season, which will be aired on a number of major networks.

Competitors are expected to benefit from the added professionalism injected into the sport through the new sponsorship and TV coverage.

Yellow Hat is one of the world's largest chains of auto accessory and opened the Middle East's first branch in on Shaikh Zayed Road in Dubai recently.

Graham Markwick, Yellow Hat general manager, said, "Yellow Hat has a strong history of active involvement in Motorsports. As a company, we are passionate about all things related to cars and our sponsorship of the 2008/2009 UAE Touring Car Championships is a demonstration of our desire to be part of the expansion of national motorsports."

Racing highlights

Ian Carless, Executive Producer for Talkabout Media, said, "We have a strong background in sports television production for international broadcasters and will be producing a series of 30 minute race highlight programs for distribution to a number of networks."
