New dates for A-1 GP

The A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Sentul Circuit, Indonesia, will now be held on February 10-12 after the postponement of the event from its original date of January 13-15.

Dubai: The A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Sentul Circuit, Indonesia, will now be held on February 10-12 after the postponement of the event from its original date of January 13-15.

Following the death of Shaikh Maktoum on January 4, the seventh round of the World Cup of Motorsport has been postponed as a mark of respect for his close family that includes A1 Grand Prix founder, president and chairman, Shaikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, who is now in an official period of mourning.

Meanwhile, International Cricket Council (ICC) President Ehsan Mani sent a message of condolence to His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the family of Shaikh Maktoum.

"On behalf of the International Cricket Council, I send deep condolences,"said Mani.

"It was with great sadness that we learnt of Shaikh Maktoum's sudden death."
