The members of the national team that won almost all the medals at the Arab Bowling Championships in Jordan last month, proved their worth in the Ramadan Bowling Tournament, organised at the Khalifa International Bowling Centre.
Sayed Ebrahim, the winner of the Arab Masters title, advanced from the 23rd place to become 3rd scoring a new total of 2,098 and replaced his earlier tally of 1,872. His colleague Shaker Ali, who had won the Arab Singles, Teams and All Events gold medals, came from the 28th spot to the 6th, scoring 2,058 to replace his old series of 1,826.
The other members of the UAE team were Naif Ogab (7th), Hussain Al Suwaidi (8th), Sultan Al Marzouqi (12th) and Mahmoud Al Attar (13th).
Mohammad Khalifa Al Qubaisi still leads the standings with 2,206, followed by Saeed Obaid Hamarain with 2,155. Mohammad Abdullah Al Muhannadi is 4th with 2,098 after his continuous improvement that led him from the 18th place.
The top 24 players will make it to the second round.
