Strongest ever field for sprint

Dubai: With no racing at Meydan until World Cup night on Saturday, March 27, focus turns primarily this week to Jebel Ali for the Listed Jebel Ali Sprint and it looks arguably the strongest ever renewal of the 5f dash.
Last year's winner, the Doug Watson-trained Hammadi faces Frosty Secret (Mike De Kock) and Alo Pura (Dhruba Selvaratnam), the pair who chased him home, as well as Terrific Challenge (Satish Seemar) who won the prep race, with all three relishing the conditions.
With Montpellier enjoying a terrific campaign for Ali Rashid Al Raihe and proven on the course, Watson's Alsadeek, Dohasa (Esmail Mohammad) and Conquest (Musabah Al Muhairi) others to consider, it promises to be a great race.
There is also a high-class 7f conditions race in which Carnival winners Barbecue Eddie (Watson) and Alazeyab (Al Raihe) clash with Richard Hills electing to partner the latter.
Mike de Kock saddles Biarritz who would be a big danger on his best form, while Watson also has Clasp in the field who is in great heart. Otaared is unbeaten over course and distance, while Vito Corleone is entitled to plenty of respect in a wide open contest.
