Gabriel Jr hopes for a hassle-free run on big night
Organisers of the Dubai World Cup have plans in place for a hassle-free running of the world's richest race at Nad Al Sheba on March 29.

Dubai: Organisers of the Dubai World Cup have plans in place for a hassle-free running of the world's richest race at Nad Al Sheba on March 29.
"The going has been good so far and our effort has always been to give the best Dubai can offer to the 45,000 people attending race night," Frank Gabriel Jr, CEO, Dubai Racing Club, told Gulf News.
There has been a bit of apprehension among race-goers this year particularly due to the ongoing construction work at the World Cup venue.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, last year announced the construction of Meydan - the new iconic horseracing city spread over 76 million square feet. Construction on the ambitious project has already begun and a new temporary road has been built circumventing the Nad Al Sheba racecourse.
A bulk of the parking for guests attending races this year will be done just next to this new temporary road. From this point, people will be transported by shuttle buses plying to and fro to the race venue.
"The parking area next to the grandstand will be used only for the VIPs and for the shuttle service vehicles," said Gabriel Jr.
The wrist-banding for guests will also be done at the car park.
People attending the races can also expect a better taxi facility as well this year as organisers have requested a car pool of 2,000 taxis to be present at the venue at the end of the race.
"People at the International Village will have at least 50 shuttle buses plying back to the car park in order to facilitate a quicker and better passage."
