Dubai: Racing returns to Nad Al Sheba this week on December 26, when the eighth meeting of the season will be sponsored by etisalat, and is a seven race affair.

Dubai Racing Club CEO Frank Gabriel Jr said: "etisalat has long been associated with the Dubai Racing Club, sponsoring meetings during the Winter Racing Challenge, the Dubai International Racing Carnival and the Godolphin Mile at the Dubai World Cup.

"We are delighted that our valued partnership continues with the Boxing Day Racemeeting.

"With only one meeting to go now to qualify for Winter Racing Challenge Finals day, a number of horses will be looking to impress and guarantee a top-six place for the three categories which will earn them a spot for finals day on January 1."

Eisa Haddad, chief managing officer of etisalat added: "etisalat has always been committed to partnering key activities and events in the communities within which we operate, and our partnership with the Dubai Racing Club is one that we value.

"We are very pleased at this opportunity to support the 2008 Winter Racing Challenge and bring the excitement and passion of racing to the UAE public.

"The sponsorship reflects our strong commitment to support the cause of sports and bring such world class events to the UAE."

Entrance to the public area of the racecourse is free of charge and there are also complimentary transfers to and from Nad Al Sheba from Dubai Marina (by Spinneys), Arabian Ranches (Shopping complex), Wafi (in front of Pyramids) and Emirates Towers (Boulevard entrance by Cartier).

Tickets for this event are priced at Dh400 per adult, Dh200 per child between the ages of four and 12.
