Dubai: Sharjah Wanderers/Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club missed out on a place in the semi-finals of the UAE Invitational Scratch League despite beating Tower Links/Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah, 3-1 in the final match.

The joint Sharjah team needed a maximum 4-0 triumph to make it to the last four, but didn't win all the matches so Arabian Ranches Golf Club went through as league winners.

In League A, Emirates Golf Club beat Al Ain Shooting, Equestrian and Golf Club by the same 3-1 margin to remain on track for the semi-finals.

In a dead rubber in League C, Al Badia Golf Club beat The Address Montgomerie having already earned their semi-final status.

Leagues B, C and D are now finalised, with Arabian Ranches playing the winners of League A and Al Badia taking on Yas Links in the other semi-final.
