Dubai: Robert Platt and Bruno Amer blew away the field at The Carpetland Monthly Open at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club last Saturday.
The pair carded two net eagles and thirteen net birdies to total a staggering fifty-one stableford betterball points to win by seven.
Three pairs were left tied on 44 points to decide second and third place and it was the back nine of 23 points from Victor Liwanag and Mario Marimon who clinched overall second place.
One point behind on the back nine and finishing in third place was Tobias Parkin and Edward Weston.
The longest drive was won by a great hit from the young Tobias Parkin on the 12th hole and Tony Andrews won nearest the pin on the 5th hole with a superb iron shot to several feet.
Most golf was awarded to the sporting efforts of Peter Traber and Adrian Roudin.
