Dubai: Jonathon Perry and Bernie Hayes dominated the UAE Golf Association's Handicap Scheme Medal at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa.

The pair took control of the event and maintained their grip thanks to their consistent performances.

Perry carded an excellent gross 84 (net 74) to win both the coveted gross and net prize in Division One.

Meanwhile Hayes, playing off a 36 handicap, performed well to record a score of 27 stableford points to take the honours in the ladies division.

Paul Coleman, playing a nice and steady tee-to-green game, returned an impressive 37 points.

The score was good enough to win the Division B title, a total of three points ahead of nearest rival Andrea Vocale, who finished second bout only after a countback.

Chris Chapman and Paul Coleman took both the nearest to the pin prizes, on holes 2 and 17 respectively,

Ben Guy took the prize for the longest drives with his efforts on holes four and 15.

The medal was part of the UGA Handicap Scheme which allows members to attain a handicap according to Congu (Councils of National Golf Unions) and LGU (Ladies Golf Union) systems.
