Lutton wins tournament

The second annual DIFC Week Golf Championship was played on Sunday on the Majlis at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai.

Dubai: The second annual DIFC Week Golf Championship was played on Sunday on the Majlis at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai.

Bill Lutton, the Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Properties, won the tournament with a score of 39 points, which was a gap of three points from his nearest challenger.

Lutton said he was delighted to have won the event.

He said: "I played my best round of golf for years" said the Els Club member.

"It was a fantastic day and I thank the DIFC and Itau for their wonderful hospitality."

Ryder Cup Golf legend Sam Torrance hosted the championship for the second year in a row.

Torrance says: "Bill and the rest of the players were treated again to one of the world's leading corporate golf events."
