Abu Dhabi: The Fast-Rent-A-Car sponsored second International Cup golf event will be held at the Abu Dhabi Golf and Equestrian Club today.

Two teams of twelve amateur golfers are expected to take part in this unique tournament which is designed in a similar format as the Ryder Cup, condensed into a single day.

This year's teams will be captained by Richard Harris (Europe) and Omar Thabit (Rest of the World).

"The teams will represent Europe and Rest of the World and include a cross section of nationalities living and working in the UAE. Foursome and four-ball matches will be played in the morning sessions, with singles matches teeing off in the afternoon", said Stephen Canning, the organiser of the tournament.

Fast Rent A Car is the main sponsor of this year's International Cup. Rania Kakos Yazbeck, Group Marketing Manager of the Emirates National Group, Fast Rent A Car's parent company said: "We are pleased to associate with the second edition of the International Cup."
